About Dr Sara Santos

Dr Sara Santos is a British-Portuguese mathematician with a PhD from the University of Manchester. With over 25 years of experience spanning academia, teaching, consulting and public engagement, she brings both rigorous expertise and a deep commitment to making learning accessible and joyful.

She has held positions at the Royal Institution of Great Britain and King's College London, contributed to BBC television as a mathematics commentator, and is a founding fellow of Forward College in Portugal. She created Maths Busking and founded ArteMatika in 2024 — a programme merging mathematics, neuroscience and art.

Based in Oeiras, Portugal, Sara founded IngoC CEC to bring together her expertise in cognitive science, mathematics education and educational consulting into a single, cohesive offering for families, educators and institutions.
